Greetings from Tappahannock Presbyterian Church
Greetings to all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Head of the
Church. Tappahannock Presbyterian Church welcomes all people to worship
with us.
Worship: Our worship on Sunday
morning at 10:00 is a traditional Presbyterian service. We believe that
God created human beings to worship and enjoy God forever. With
enthusiastic singing led by our talented pianists and choir, fervent
prayers, faithful reading and interpretation of Scripture, and the
commitment to serve others beyond the doors of the church, we gather in
worship and scatter in mission. We are a place of hope, of inclusion,
and of delight in God.
Education
is an integral part of the life of this church. The Bible as the Word
of God is studied through the preaching of the Word, in weekly Bible
study, in classes for adults and youth (sometimes intergenerationally).
Our pastor is required to be a graduate of an accredited seminary and
is examined by the Presbytery in which they serve.
Fellowship: Following worship each Sunday you will be
invited to stay for a coffee fellowship to greet your neighbors and
share informally. We believe this time of fellowship is key to building
us up as a family of God in mission to our community.
Mission: Tappahannock Presbyterian Church reaches out
to others through special offerings and hand-on mission projects like
Operation Inasmuch, food donations, community worship services, and
Christmas gifts for those in need. Your God-given gifts and talents
will add greatly to those of our congregation already in motion. There
is something for everyone!
